Leo. Ο Λέων

This evening while talking a walk along Glyfada's beach, I met a fisherman mending his nets, in company of his friend Leo. Later Leo posed for me alone.

Leo looks quite magisterial and unconcerned with your presence, typical cat. :)

Leo is wise to be friends with a fisherman. Great pictures, I love cats. :)

Leo seems not to be much help ;-)

They are both nice. I've never seen a net so yellow that I remember. It's nice to see fishing life along the water.

About the red kingsnake - this one is not venomous, but it looks very similar to one in the western US that is very venomous.

Beautiful imagery Costas!
When I think of Athens -- having never been there myself - this wonderful picture of yours is what I image
A stretch of coastline dotted with lovely beach resorts and fishing villages with colorful fishing nets and interesting people telling tales of the sea, the old and new juxtaposed next to each -- woven together through time.

The lovely cat as white as snow looks like she has a tale or two to tell --or is she dreaming of the lovely sardines?

I love the way Leo's eyes tilt up at the corners. Makes her seem mystical almost.

I enlarged the photos and am amazed with the detail - especially the net mender. Such intricacy! How does he do that without tangling the lines? I'd be trussed up looking for a pocket knife in no time!

What a beautiful cat :) Looks pretty proud and self confident :)

Yes, we are celebrating the national day of Norway today. On the 17 mai 1814 the Norwegian Constitution was signed. Since then the day has been a big event. If you search '17 mai Norway' on google and then pictures, I guess you find a lot of nice pictures to watch :)

I saw the cat in the first shot helping out a bit, it's good to see that you gave him a spot light!
Great shots!
