Lets go to the beach. Πάμε για μπάνιο;

With the temperatures in Greece below freezing levels the last few days, (some places temperatures recorded were as low as -24C or -11F), one cannot help but dream of summer and the warmth of the sun, the sunny beaches and swimming. I took these photographs after the new year, at the place where I usually go swimming (in summer). The beaches were deserted but there were some windsurfers taking advantage of the slight breeze and the sunshine, and some brave swimmers, who did not mind water temperatures as low as 12C or 53F.

Oh my - it just so beautiful there! Coming from one who sees a lot of open prairie and not many trees (except along the Milk River).

It's good for the blood, they say. But only if you survive it.

That is amazingly cold for Greece especially when most of northern Europe is having a mild winter.

Oh. That water and sun looks nice as it continues to pour down rain here. A while ago it was so hard I couldn't see 50 feet across the yard.
Keep the sun coming, Costas.

My favorite is the lovely shot where you can see through the water. Is there anything to see if you snorkel here (in warmer weather)?

Very nice Costas! I'm so happy to live in an area where it never gets too hot and it never freezes!

It looks wonderful, especially since outside my window it is cold and windy.
